This is so true. When trying to establish a new habit, we are fired up and our enthusiastic-self takes the lead with little regard for reality and the strength of all of our other conflicting habits we’ve already established, intentionally or unintentionally. Those changes we want to make are typically unrealistic and/or so grandiose that we don’t think through how we are going to forge our new wanted habit.
As James points out, what is that one thing that we can change or put into place that we can stick with, despite weather or a slow start to the morning, etc?
